The purpose of the Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland is to serve as a forum for the resolution of region-wide issues and the attainment of regional goals. The Tri-County Council is a partnership of State and local government established forty-three years ago as the regional development and planning organization for Southern Maryland.

SUMMER EMPLOYMENT INTERNSHIPS 2009 INFORMATION AND REGISTRATION
Summer Internships provide young adults with paid workplace experiences at area businesses for *six weeks during the summer. These internships give young people a taste of the working world, exposure to career opportunities, and an understanding of how school is connected to economic success.
The 2009 Summer Employment Program is managed by the Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland. The program is an integral component of the Council’s Workforce Investment Services projects. Through the work of the Council’s Workforce Investment Board, a system of programs supported by a broad based public-private partnership dedicated to building the region’s future workforce is sustained.
